Hi, Guys

I have two computers - one a XPS720 Dell and the other a clone. The Dell has (oh-my-gosh) vista "ultimate" and when I typed in the youtube address it immediately classed it as a blocked site! this was the first time I even knew I has opendns on the computer. So, is this you guys, or Dell, or what? Then today at work (clone with XP Pro) I went onto Youtube okay, but after spending about 10-odd minutes there it suddenly came up with the same warning and kicked me out. Both computers are 'direct to net' - no servers in the middle. Any ideas???

@Steven: Could you get in touch with Jason (at PcDecrapifier), or me (so I can contact Jason myself, if you wish) regarding the uninstall of this service, if you remember any "details"? I know my eMachines had a similar "feature" installed, but I cant remember where the files were stored, but it was easily uninstalled from the control panel > Programs and Features area of Vista :)

I'd third this option; personally I say it's only needed for these Dells- how about turning it off automatically for users that have reached the guide.opendns page without the google redirection.

I'd like to know if anyone knows how to remove this Google "Browser Address Redirector Error" silently. I'd like to add the removal algorithm to to my program (The PC Decrapifier) Any help would be appreciated. You can use the "Contact Us" link on my website to get ahold of me. Thanks.

Alice,

Specifically, a good resource for removing the smiley central toolbar can be found at http://www.pchell.com/support/smileycentral.shtml

Generically, ad-aware may be able to help you with your other toolbar or spyware mayhem. You can find the free version at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php

Cheers,
