Since we launched last year, many of you have asked us to provide official graphics (banners, icons, and buttons) to display on your own sites as a way to promote and endorse OpenDNS. We’re lucky to have such enthusiastic fans, but until now, we’ve only offered a small logo.
We can do better than that.
Today we’re offering a new image that’s much more interesting — not only visually, but also because it has two states: one for OpenDNS users, and one for everyone else.
Preview both versions

Check out http://www.opendns.com/buttons/ to grab the HTML snippet for your site.
In the coming months, we’ll be adding more graphics to help you spread the word about OpenDNS. Stay tuned!

Good Idea.
No problems for me to promote this great service.
Thanks, Joachim

Awesome Aaron. This is powerful stuff.
If we exposed this kind of thing via an API (to say if a visitor was using OpenDNS or not) what kind of things could you do?
Note: This wouldn’t be a privacy issue because it would simply be a boolean kind of value: yes they do use OpenDNS or no they don’t. (Also, someone clever could figure this out in a number of more complicated ways already.)

Hey all, I just thought to let you know that I already mention and link to OpenDNS on my very own website; see for instance one such example on the page titled “diverse.html”: http://tadej-ivan.50webs.com/other/diverse.html, however, note that in fact I do it on many pages (i.e. mention and link to OpenDNS site), one another such example is the “config.html” page: http://tadej-ivan.50webs.com/other/config.html, in particular see below under the “DNS-SERVER AND NETWORK CONFIGURATION” sub-section.

timendum,
I’ll make an 80×15 button for the next batch of images.
Are there any other sizes you’d like?

Hi,
Anyway we can get a userbar, you know images that you use for forum signatures:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Userbar
I would like to have one that shows people I am using opendns and those that are not to see “Use Open DNS! GET STARTED” just like the images above.
Please!
Thanks a lot,
Will

You guys know that if someone is using Google Web Accelerator, the button doesn’t show that someone as using OpenDNS. That’s weird. It’s almost like Google Web Accelerator makes it’s DNS requests somewhere else. Just a heads up. Thanks for a great product. =)

GWA still makes its DNS requests through OpenDNS, but its caching compromises the web-based tests we offer… and similarly causes problems with typo correction and phishing prevention.
