OpenDNS is not a proxy. OpenDNS only resolves a URL into it's numerical IP address so your computer can access it on the internet. http://www.vxcb.com Thanks for providing such a useful service!

As a father of young internet savvy children I feel more comfortable now that I am using OPENDNS on the home network. That is not to say we relax parental monitoring and telling our kids about the danger lurking on the wire...so nice to have a full time nanny on the net. Thanks OPENDNS! I now have internetbadguys as the default page on IE so the kids are continually reminded of the badguys out there. I am trying ou DNS-O-Matic now - sounds like a great service!

Dear David

First of all congrats on the brightest idea i have seen.
Secondly thanks for keeping the service free.

Please note that the link you gave above for
http://www.opendns.com/faq/#how_does_opendns_make_money
"How OpenDNS makes money"
is now changed to http://www.opendns.com/support/article/14

I came here reading about your FREE service on
http://www.doxpara.com/ where i tested my ISP DNS service
and found it to be vulnuberable to the recent DNS posioning attack that is coming up actively this month (July 2008).

Now i am in SAFE Hands and I wish every one else too get aware of it and start using your great FREE service.

Some how for last two days I can not access CJ.com website. Even after the switch to OpenDNS the page do not show up. I wonder what could be wrong :0

Once again thanks !!!!

Hi David,

It has been wonderful using everyDNS so when i heard about openDNS, i configured my office network to use it. Its interesting to know that even here in Nigeria, where Internet can be relatively slow, there is a considerable improvement when openDNS is used.

Have fun!

David,

It was great talking to you today in Sacramento. I'm amazed I hadn't heard about the concept before, but I think it's a great idea. I'm going to tell all my site visitors (to Scamdex) to switch to using openDNS as soon as I get home.

Keep up the good work!

Of all the things you say, I can for sure say that one is true: you have a wonderful team around you.
For the rest... time has already said they are true, too.
